Katie Watkinson - Design Director & CEO

With over 13 years of experience in high end residential design, Katie began her career at a boutique interior design firm in Beaconsfield, where she focused on the interior architecture of large scale projects. After honing her skills, Katie advanced to become a Senior Interior Designer at one of London’s largest and most prestigious design firms.

Six years ago, Katie founded Katie Watkinson Interiors, bringing her unique vision and passion for interior design to life through every project. Katie’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship shines through in every space her team creates. Driven by a commitment to excellence, she ensures that each project is completed to the highest standards with exceptional attention to detail and a focus on outstanding customer service.

Katie stays active through Olympic weightlifting, a passion that keeps her both strong and focused. She also has a deep love for the great outdoors, and often found out on adventures in her converted camper van. Katie finds joy and inspiration in the freedom of nature, hiking and fishing feature highly on her list of favourite past times.

James Whitmarsh - Operations Director

James began his career at a young age, gaining invaluable experience across various sectors of the automotive industry. This early exposure helped him build a solid foundation in business operations and gave him a comprehensive understanding of what makes a company thrive. Drawing on these skills, James later ventured out on his own to start his own business. His Garden Design and Landscaping company continues to flourish to this day, a testament to his expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.

While James is always willing to tackle new challenges, he’ll readily admit that cushions and curtains aren’t exactly his specialty. However, he excels in the behind the scenes aspects of business, from managing accounts, procurement and photography to web design and logistics. His ability to handle the less glamorous but crucial tasks ensures that everything runs smoothly, supporting the team and clients alike.

Outside of work, James has a wide range of interests. He’s passionate about health and fitness, enjoys DJing, and finds relaxation in fishing and hiking. His varied hobbies reflect his active, well-rounded approach to life.
